Afternoon Courses

INTRODUCTORY COURSE IN COMPUTER TRAINING

• 1 afternoon per week
• 2.00pm - 4.00pm

This 10 week part-time course is for the absolute beginner. It will take you from turning on the computer to familiarisation with the keyboard, e-mailing to web surfing.

BACK TO EDUCATION INITIATIVE (B.T.E.I.)

• 1 afternoon per week
• 1.30pm - 4.30pm

This Department of Education Initiative provides an opportunity for early school leavers who are not currently in the workplace to avail of free computer training
This course runs for 25 weeks from September to May.

ECDL COURSE (EUROPEAN COMPUTER DRIVING LICENCE)

• 1 afternoon per week
• 2.00pm - 4.00pm

This 20 week part-time course prepares the students for ECDL exams. The modules include: Word Processing, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and File Management. Keyboarding/Basic Computer skills are an essential requirement for this course.
Exams are taken on-line in the College.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE IN INTERIOR DESIGN

• 1 afternoon per week
• 2.00pm - 3.30pm

This 8 week part-time course will introduce you to practical aspects of interior design, develop your flair and creativity, thus enabling you to enhance your home. Topics include use of the colour wheel, stencilling, window dressing, creating occasional tables and picture framing.

MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST COURSE

• 1 afternoon per week
• 2.00pm - 4.00pm per module

This 10 week part-time course is for the advanced student. Microsoft Office Certification is an industry standard and a qualification that is recognised around the world. Modules on offer include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook Express.
Exams are taken on-line in the College.

SPANISH LANGUAGE & CULTURE

• 1 afternoon per week
• 2.00pm - 3.30pm

This 10 week part-time course will introduce you to the real Spain, will enable you to converse at a basic level in Spanish and appreciate and enjoy traditional Spanish culture.
