Duration: 2 years
OBJECTIVES
This course is created for people who intend to pursue a career in Interior Design or in a related area. It is designed to help students develop their flair and creativity and to inspire and assist them to understand and implement their own ideas. The course is not only about the art of creating a beautiful interior but also to present ideas in a professional manner, compile sample boards, draw plans, elevations and perspectives and add professional polish to a portfolio of work. Who Should Apply:
Students who wish to pursue a career in this area or those who wish to use it as an absorbing pastime. Aptitude for the course will be established at interview.

Year 1, Monday - Friday 9.30am - 1.00pm:

- Furnishings & Fittings
- Architectural Drawing
- Computer Aided Draughting
- Drawing
- Communications
Year 2, Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 1.00pm:
- Computer Aided Draughting
- Architectural Drawing
- Design
- Rendering & Presentation Techniques
- Word Processing
- Optional extra in 2nd year ~ Associate Diploma in Rhodec
Certification:
FETAC (NCVA) Level II (Further Education and Training Awards Council) Progression:
Graduates who achieve the required standard may progress to further studies in the IT colleges including:
- DIT
- Dun Laoghaire College of Art, Design & Technology
- or B.A.(Honours) Interior Architecture Degree in University of Wales Institute, Cardiff
